Itinerary Overview

Day 1: Arrive Delhi

Arrive Delhi and meet the ITS representative at the arrival hall and transfer to hotel. Relax & overnight in Delhi.

Day 02: Delhi

Delhi – MandawaMorning tour of Old Delhi: visit the majestic Red Fort, the historical Chandni Chowk, besides Raj Ghat and Shanti Vana. Afternoon tour of New Delhi, visit the Rashtrapati Bhawan, the one-time imperial residence of the British viceroys; the India Gate, a memorial raised in honour of the Indian soldiers martyred during the Afghan war; the Laxmi Narayan Temple, built by the Birlas, one of India’s leading industrial families; Qutab Minar, built by Qutub-ud-din Aibek of the Slave Dynasty; and the lotus-shaped Bahai Temple. Evening free at leisure, overnight in Delhi.

Red Fort

Day 03: Delhi – Mandawa

Morning checkout and drive to Mandawa – 275 kms (6 hrs), traditional welcome on arrival transfer to Castle Mandawa Hotel. Rest of the visit compact little town of Shekhawati region comprising of Forts and Havelis of beautiful frescoes. While touring this town a painted arched gateway adorned with Lord Krishna and his cows leads to the bazaar. Evening enjoy folk dance and music. Overnight at hotel.

Day 04: Mandawa – Bikaner

Morning checkout and drive to Nawalgarh – 30 kms, the town where the finest of the Shekhavati’s frescoes can be seen. It’s havelis still bear witness to the rich & prosperous Marwari era of the 19th century. Worth visiting are the Aath Haveli complexes, Anandilal Poddar Haveli, Bansidhar Bhagat Haveli & Chokhani Haveli. Drive to Bikaner – 175 kms (3 hrs), transfer to hotel on arrival. Evening free to relax. Overnight at hotel.

Mandawa

Day 05: Bikaner

Morning take a sightseeing tour of Bikaner covering Junagadh Fort – constructed between 1588 and 1593 by Raja Rai Singh, fort has a 986 meter long wall with 37 bastions & two entrances, Bhand Sagar Temple – The 16th century Jain temple, is the most important of this temple complex, Camel Breeding Farm – a unique experience where you can ride on a camel & have perhaps the first taste of camel’s milk. Overnight at hotel.

Day 06: Bikaner – Jaisalmer

Morning checkout and drive to Jaisalmer – 330 kms (6 hrs), Arrive and check into hotel. Afternoon free to relax or enjoy the city atmosphere. Evening visit Gadisar Lake, Overnight at hotel.

Day 07: Jaisalmer

Morning take a sightseeing tour of Jaisalmer covering Jaisalmer Fort – built on the highest point of the Tricuta hill, consisting of 99 bastions. Outstanding features are Megh Durbar & various temples, Salim Singh-Ki-Haveli & Patwon–Ki-Haveli – some of the beautiful mansions with stone carving and latticework of breath taking intricacy. Later after lunch drive to Sam Sand Dunes – 45 kms enroute visit the ancient Temple of Lodurwa, Amar Sagar and Mool Sagar Lakes. Arrive Sam Sand Dunes and transfer on Camels and enjoy camel rides on the dunes till the sunset. Drive back to Jaisalmer for overnight.

Jaisalmer

Day 08: Jaisalmer – Jodhpur– 290 kms

Morning checkout and drive to Jodhpur, on arrival transfer to hotel early afternoon. Early evening at 1500 hrs visit Mehrangarh Fort, Jaswant Thada and Umaid Bhawan Palace. Evening visit Balsamand Lake and Palace, overnight at the hotel.

Day 09: Jodhpur – Udaipur– 276 kms

Morning checkout and drive to Udaipur, enroute visit the famous Ranakpur Temples of 12th Century, and later visit Kumbhalgarh Fort enroute to Udaipur. Kumbhalgarh Fort is known for its longest wall of 36 kms surrounding the fort with 360 inbuilt temples in the wall, some of the temple now leis in the state of ruin. Proceed to Udaipur, on arrival transfer to hotel. Evening free to relax, overnight at the hotel.

Jodhpur

Day 10: Udaipur

Morning visit City Palace – located amidst Lake Pichola, comprising of Crystal Gallery, Durbar Hall and Jagdish Temple. After lunch visit Sahelion – Ki – Bari – The garden for the maids of honour of the queen. Evening visit Eklingji & Nagda Temples – built in white marble with a double storied porch on the bank of Lake Bageela – 22 kms from Udaipur. Drive back to Udaipur for overnight.

Day 11: Udaipur – Bijaipur

Udaipur – Bijaipur Morning checkout and drive to Bijaipur – 150 kms enroute visit one of the finest forts of Asia ; Chittaurgarh Fort comprising of Man Palace, Padminis Palace, and Towers of Peace and Victory, you will be driving on this fort to cover all this places. One can have good lunch at Pratap Palace in Chittaurgarh and proceed to Bijaipur. On arrival transfer to Castle Bijaipur which is a 16 Century Castle owned & run by descendants of Maharana Pratap. Later in the day visit Lotus Lake & take a drive into the tribal villages of Bijaipur. Enjoy folk dance & music while you dine, overnight in Bijaipur.

Udaipur

Day 12: Bijaipur – Bundi (100 kms - 2 to 3 hrs)

Morning checkout and drive to Bundi Bundi, enroute visit Shivji Temple on the edge of a hill where Menal Water falls commence, this is a very scenic place, I have not given you earlier because you were driving 250 kms from Udaipur to Bundi directly, proceed to Bundi on arrival transfer to hotel. Later visit Taragarh Fort built in 1354 A.D., Bundi Palace, Chhattar Mahal, Ratan Daulat, Chitrashala, Nawal Sagar lake, Raniji - ki - Baori (Step well), Sukh Mahal, Phool Sagar, and eighty four pillared cenotaph (All near Taragarh Fort and Bundi Palace). Overnight at the hotel.

Day 13: Bundi – Pushkar (200 kms – 4 hrs)

Morning checkout and drive to Pushkar on arrival transfer to hotel. Evening free to visit the Lake and Fair site of Pushkar, overnight at the hotel.

Day 14: Pushkar – Jaipur (131 kms – 3 hrs)

Early morning one can visit the lakeside to see devotees offering prayers to the sun god at the time of sunrise. Later Morning checkout and drive to Jaipur, on arrival transfer to hotel. After freshen up visit Sanganer a small village, 16 km south of Jaipur, well known for their hand-made paper and block printing. Evening one can visit Nahargarh Fort, which is litted up by floodlights. Or one can just relax, overnight at the hotel.

Day 15: Jaipur

Morning take an excursion tour to Amber Fort where one can enjoy Elephant ride to ascend the Fort. Later take a sight take a sightseeing tour of Jaipur visiting City Palace, Hawa Mahal, and Jantar Mantar. Evening visit Jal Mahal, Rani Sati Gardens, and Chokhi Dhani - an ethnic resort serving Rajasthani cuisine with live music and puppet shows in an ambiance of an ethnic village. Return to the hotel for overnight.

Jaipur

Day 16: Jaipur – Agra (230 kms – 5 hrs)

Morning checkout and drive to Agra, enroute visiting the old dynasty of Mughals; Fatehpur & Sikri, visit the Fort, Buland Darwaza and Shrine of Shaikh Salim Chisti. Later proceed to Agra, on arrival transfer to hotel. Evening one can visit the Taj Mahal. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 17: Agra – Gwalior (110 kms- 3 hrs)

Morning checkout and drive to Gwalior, on arrival transfer to hotel. Later in the day visit Morning sightseeing tour of Gwalior visiting the majestic Gwalior fort is one of the largest and mightiest forts in India. Also visit Sas-Bahu Temples are 11th-century temples of Lord Vishnu while Teli-ka-Mandir is a 300-metre-high Vishnu temple of the 9th century. Evening free to explore Gwalior on own, overnight in Gwalior.

Day 18: Gwalior – Orchha (120 kms - 3 hrs)

Morning drive to Orchha, on arrival transfer to hotel. Later in the day take a sightseeing tour of Orchha - Most of the attractions in Orchha are situated in the fort complex consisting of palaces, temples, cenotaphs, and memorials. The complex can be reached by a multi-arched bridge where you would find three palaces in a quadrangle. Raj Mahal or King’s Palace was built by King Madhukar Shah, a contemporary of Emperor Akbar. Jehangir Mahal was built by Raja Bir Singh Ju Deo in 1606 to commemorate the visit of Mughal Emperor Jehangir. Legends say that Rai Parveen Mahal was built by King Indramani for his favourite concubine Rai Parveen. Like Raj Mahal, Raja Ram Temple is also a contribution of King Madhukar Shah with a very unusual story behind it. Chaturbhuj and Laxmi Narayan temples are some of the other important religious attractions in Orchha. Evening free to relax, overnight in Orchha.

Gwalior

Day 19: Orcha - Khajuraho (178 kms - 4 hours)

OrchaMorning checkout and drive to Khajuraho, on arrival transfer to hotel. Later in the day visit Western group of Temples consisting of the massive Lakshmana Temple dedicated to lord Vishnu, the Lakshmi and Varaha temples dedicated to Vishnu’s consort Lakshman, the Kandariya Mahadev temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and the Chausath Yogini temple dedicated to goddess Kali.

Day 20: Khajuraho

Morning visit Archaeological museum with its collection of stone sculptures of the Chandela dynasty. Later visit Eastern group of Temples and visit the Jain temples of Parsvanath, Adinath, and Shanti Nath. Also visit the temples of Vamana and Brahma/Hanuman both dedicated to lord Vishnu. Evening free for individual activities, overnight at the hotel.

Khajuraho

Day 21: Khajuraho – Delhi (By air at 1335 hrs) – Back Home

Morning day free to visit the Temples again, afternoon checkout at 1230 hrs and transfer to airport to board the flight for Delhi at 1335 hrs, assistance on arrival in Delhi at 1600 hrs, transfer to hotel, relax & overnight in Delhi.

Day 22: Delhi - Back Home

In time transfer to International airport to board the flight back home.
